The Islamic Invasion by Dr. Robert Morey

The Islamic religion has been a constant topic of world news since the attacks of September 11.  Seldom has there been such a barrage of misinformation from the media as there is in this case.  As with any topic, we need to move beyond political correctness and emotion and examine the bare facts.

Dr. Robert Morey is one of the top Christian authorities on the Islamic faith.  In this book he sets out to compare Islam to Christianity.  Many Muslims (person of Islamic faith) claim that their god, Allah, is the same as the God of the Bible.  Morey shows how this simply cannot be the case.

He divides this book into six sections.  The first two deal with some background information to the Islamic faith.  The next three sections make up the heart of the book.  This is where Morey compares the three major distinctions between Islam and Christianity.  Here he compares:

Allah and the God of the Bible

Mohammad and Jesus Christ

The Koran and the Bible

Morey decisively demonstrates in each of these sections that the religions are extremely different.  He shows that Allah is not the God of the Bible but a false god that was around before Mohammad.  Allah’s characteristics differ greatly from our God’s.  Rather than being a loving God like ours, he is a capricious god who acts however he wants to.  Muslims also emphatically deny that Allah has a son.  Therefore, he cannot be the God of the Bible whose Son, Jesus Christ, is the Creator, Savior, and Judge.

Mohammad is considered to be the prophet of Allah.  Muslims also view Jesus Christ to be a prophet, but not as important as Mohammad.  It’s crucial to understand that in his earlier years when he had a small following, Mohammad preached a message of peace.  However, when he gained more followers and power, he commanded his followers to convert people to Islam using any means necessary, including murder.

He also compares the Koran to the Bible in a very informative section of the book.  Here you will find some of the many problems in the Koran.  It contradicts itself and the Bible and also has many historical inaccuracies.

Despite President Bush’s claims to the contrary, Islam is NOT a peaceful religion.  There are many Muslims who are peaceful but the Koran clearly endorses the murder of all “infidels” [non-Muslims, i.e. Jews and Christians.]

Morey also includes a section at the end of the book that deals with “The Nation of Islam.”  The author shows how this group should not be considered to be part of Islam and is nothing more than a black supremacist group led by Louis Farrakhan.  To call these people Muslims would be similar to saying KKK members are Christians.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone concerned about what is going on in our world today.  It is vital for us to know the facts about the world’s fastest growing religion.
