Judgment Day by Dave Hunt

NOTE: This review is for the earlier version of this book entitled A Cup of Trembling.

The book gets its name from Zechariah 12: 2 where God promises that at the end of days Jerusalem would become “a cup of trembling” to all the nations.  This prophecy is in the process of fulfillment as we live and breathe - just take a look at the world news - Jerusalem continues to be the number one problem in the world today.  Why?  Because God said that it would be.

Hunt does an outstanding job of tracing the modern day conflict between Israel and the Arab nations back to where it started in Genesis.  He provides more than enough information to convince even the strongest skeptic.  This book will also serve to strengthen your faith as it becomes clear that God has accurately foretold the events that are making headlines in our day.

Hunt also provides some detailed information regarding the Islamic religion and their holy book, the Koran.  He clearly demonstrates that Islam and Christianity are not compatible - God and Allah are NOT the same God and the Koran is filled with errors, unlike God’s infallible Word, the Bible.

Hunt shows in great detail the fact that the “holy land” was given to Israel by God forever.  He also provides some of the recent history of the Jewish people since the re-establishment of their nation in 1948.

The reader will also find some information about the late Yasser Arafat and his true intentions that are seldom, if ever, reported by our anti-Israeli biased media.

Using the Bible as his guide, Hunt shows the ultimate results of this age-old struggle.  You will discover what the Bible has to say about the current Middle East conflict and how it ties into the “grand scheme of things.”

This book will go a long way in clearing up some of the confusion that exists in the Church over the issues of Israel and Jerusalem.

I found that my faith in God and in His Word was strengthened by reading this book.  It seems that many Christians are either ignorant on this issue or afraid to talk about it even though it is extremely important.

I believe that the book has recently been updated.  Also, the author has just published Judgment Day! Islam, Israel, and the Nations.  A video has been produced that is based on this book and is called “Israel, Islam and Armageddon.”  While its 450+ pages may be too long for many people it is well worth the read.  If you have ever wondered why there is so much violence in the Middle East then this book is for you.  I highly recommend this book for Christians and unbelievers alike.  It will provide some much needed insight to both sides.
