Green Bay Conference
(02/02/07) Tim has been invited to speak at a creation apologetics conference in Green Bay, WI. Headlining this conference is Dr. Duane Gish from the Institute for Creation Research. Tim was also interviewed by WRVM (102.7) in Suring, WI to promote this upcoming conference. For more on the conference, click here.
Leukemia
(09/15/06) Tim received a call today from his doctor. His bone marrow biopsy results came back negative meaning that he is technically cancer-free. Please pray for a speedy recovery.
(07/12/06) Tim was diagnosed with leukemia today. He has set up a page to track his progress in fighting this awful disease. Click here to follow his progress.
Evangelical Theological Society
(2/04/06) Tim has recently been accepted as an associate member of the Evangelical Theological Society. Only Ph.D.'s or equivalent are accepted as regular members so perhaps in the future his membership will be upgraded to that. There is a dire need in the church for evangelical leaders to step up and take a stand on God's Word. Unfortunately, even prestigious groups, such as the ETS, are being influenced by unorthodox (or better sub-orthodox) teachings such as open theism and old earth compromises. Please pray that these groups will renew their commitment to the authority, authenticity, and inerrancy of God's Word.
A Great Opportunity
(1/29/06) Earlier today I had a wonderful opportunity to speak at The Great Adventure church in Dubuque, IA. They are beginning a study of the book of Genesis and asked me to make the case for young earth creationism. Everything went very well. We have also been invited to appear at three Creation Apologetics conferences in Westby, WI this year. In May (12 - 13) I will be speaking at Living Waters Bible Camp in Westby at a conference that features Carl Kerby from Answers in Genesis. I am excited about the opportunity to speak at the same venue as Mr. Kerby. If you have not heard him yet, you are truly missing out. Carl is one of the best speakers I have ever heard and is a delightful man. I am truly looking forward to this event. For more information on these events, please download the flyer and registration forms from our homepage.
The Days to Come...
(7/21/05) The next few weeks will be quite busy for Midwest Apologetics. We will be moving to the Dubuque, IA area next week. Also, Josh will be getting married on August 13th. Please pray for this godly young couple and their marriage.
The Mega Conference
(7/21/05) We are currently attending the Mega Conference hosted by Answers in Genesis and Liberty University. Tomorrow is the final day of the conference, which has been a great blessing so far. It has been a great learning experience and we have made a number of contacts. It has also been a great chance to catch up with some old friends. We had some t-shirts professionally made up before the conference. These have caught the eye of several conference attendees and, judging by the website figures, have done a good job of promoting the site.
Another Successful Meeting
(7/11/05) Yesterday marked our second official presentation. This time we were at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Stewartville, MN. Tim led an adult Sunday school class on the topic of Common Misconceptions. This topic is being developed into one of our talks and focuses on the importance of thinking biblically. During the service, Tim spoke on Bible Difficulties. Both talks were very well received and we received numerous encouraging comments.
And We're Off...
(6/27/05) Yesterday was our first official presentation. Tim spoke at Grace Church in Viroqua on the topic "Did God Really Create Everything in Six Days?" The talk was very well received and Tim received several encouraging comments. We are so thankful that God has opened some doors for us to honor His and His Word.
Projector:
(6/23/05) Have projector, will travel! We received our first video projector earlier today. At 1800 lumens it should be bright enough to work in almost any indoor environment. As long as you have a screen or a light colored wall, we are capable of presenting our high-quality Power Point presentations.
Graphic Designer:
(6/13/05) We have secured the services of a professional graphic designer and should have a new logo within the week.
